Deodar Hut, true to its name, is a castle of dreams in a lush green garden surrounded by conical Deodar trees. Be it Autumn, Spring, Summer or Winter, it's the perfect place to witness all the seasons of Kashmir. It is a 2 bedroom Villa located just 100 meters from the gate of Dachigam National park by the east side of Dal Lake in Srinagar.

The famous poet must have been here at the center of the Valley of Kashmir that he must have forgotten the worldly pleasures that keep you bound. He knew nothing but paradise existed here, and that too one of its kind.

It is located in the Zabarwan range which is between the Pir Panjal range and the Great Himalayan range, It's only 28 kms away from the Srinagar Airport.

Deodar Hut is a one storey foundation house flaunting its unique Khatamband architecture style Ceiling atop, a roof which denotes the vibrantly placed plackets of wood carvings of Persian Style of architecture. It is adorned by the red brick walls which make it a Luxurious One-of-its-kind Architecture in and out. This house is a delight for architecture lovers with wooden flooring and carpeted spaces that looks nonetheless but an Outhouse from a Palace of Kashmir. There is a fully functional kitchen along with a gallery and an arc leading to the living area. The property is laced with all modern amenities like Geysers, Heaters, power backup and internet.

There is a dedicated chef at the property who is an expert in Kashmiri delicacies along with other major cuisines. The delectable cuisine culturally central to regions of Kashmir, Rogan Josh and Kashmiri Pulao are definitely to be ordered on your first day, first meal on visit.

The property is not far from the World renowned FreshWater Dal lake. Red leaves of Chinar are like a jewel of the necklace that surrounds the blue cloudy sky in Autumn season.The picturesque Kashmir looks all so profound from our Dachigam's finest forest house. Be it the bedroom windows, the kitchen sill, the veranda porch or the drawing room doors, all places show us a piece of heaven that is finely crafted on the Earth.

The house is positioned right at the outset of the Dachigam wildlife sanctuary and that is the major attraction, with proximity to the numerous hiking trails and treks going into the park. Experience flora like alpine pastures, meadows, waterfalls and scrub vegetation around.

Experience the rare species that make the fauna here more attractive like the almost vanishing species of the Hanguls, the famous stag species along with the well-known musk deer and snow leopard. Witness rare birds like cinnamon sparrow, kashmir flycatcher and Titmouse amongst many others. Forget not to buy Kashmiri Kahwa, Kesar (saffron) and fragrance musk and colorful woolen scarf and sweaters.

There are lots of historical architecture sites like Burzahom which is an ancient Buddhist site just 5 kms away and a Buddhist Stupa which is only 2 kms away.There are famous treks like Mahadev Peak trek, Tarsar Marsar lake trek, trek to Sindh valley around.Local Experiences like trout fish farm visit , cherry and tulip harvesting, walking and cycling tours can be arranged. Layout

The stay is inspired from traditional Kashmiri architecture with Naqashi engravings and Persian roof (Khatamband Ceiling).
The house is on a single floor with a dedicated living area and 2 bedrooms with attached washrooms.
All flooring is wooden and carpeted for a comfortable stay. There are dedicated spaces inside the bedrooms and living area where you can sit and absorb the softening sun.
The stay is located in a huge garden surrounded by deodar trees. There is an outside sitting area in the garden where you can enjoy the sun and the views of mountains.
Fully equipped kitchen on the floor with all essential cookwares, gas stove etc.

A perfect amalgamation of spices, pepper, vegetables, and color, they rather look like a culinary art. Most popular Kashmiri cuisines are Rogan Josh, Kashmiri Pulao, Nadru Yakhni, Sewai, and more. (Wazwan can be made only on request)

Permanent Staff of two available, including a professional Chef.
Chef is an expert in preparing Kashmiri cuisines along with North Indian and Continental cuisines.
The Chef stays at the property in the separate servant room and is available from 8 am to 11 pm.
One Person stays at the property and one comes on and off.

Property is accessible all throughout the year and is close to all major attractions like Srinagar, Gulmarg and Sonamarg.
